Who We Are
CLEAR is an interfaith coalition of 40+ Dallas Area clergy who advocate for issues of social justice from a faith perspective.
We represent Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and other faith leaders from various North Texas Congregations and traditions. Faith Commons is a major supporter.
We’ve sponsored a weekly prayer vigil (since May 2025) at the Dallas ICE Field Office, both praying for and accompanying migrants, while also praying that ICE act with justice and stop their own moral injury. We participate as court observers in Dallas Immigration Court (alongside “Vecinos Unidos,”) and as pastoral chaplains at the “Respite Center” at the Dallas Field Office (alongside “La Collectiva”)
CLEAR also played a major role in stopping the purchase of an “mega detention center” by ICE in Hutchins, Texas.
Many other issues of social justice are important to our members: women’s reproductive rights, the LGBTQ community, racial justice, the environment, and more.
We are not formally connected to any specific faith tradition, or agency, but we do act based on our faith-based values and our calling as clergy within our various traditions.
We seek to offer a moral faith voice in these troubled times, calling for justice and ministering with compassion. We are grateful to be of service to DFW in a variety of ways, and partner with/support many other community groups.
